About this game

After Class is a gay furry college dating sim by Andy Peng. You just moved to the city for a fresh start, and it's your first day of college with nobody you know around you. As you attend classes, you meet a bunch of new people: some nice, some weird, some carrying troubled pasts. You make friends easily and grow close to them quickly. As you do, they start opening up and showing the side most people don't know. A forgotten dream resurfaces after you meet them, and the question is whether it has anything to do with the people you've met, or whether it's just a coincidence. The game leans on animated scenes and anthro college life as the protagonist's relationships develop, with the dream-mystery thread quietly running underneath the slice-of-life pacing.

Changelog

v0.13.10i
[Phase 2] Day 13-Parker/Anders + Housekeeping (Part 3) has been finished! More than 2000+ changes have been made to the code due to a recent Ren’py update (yay) that broke Android builds until it was unplayable.
v0.13.05p
a01 Unpolished D13//PT1 (Day 13 Part 1) is now uploading for ALL patrons! Monthly Report and changelog will be made once Polished update is out. Thank you for your patience and please enjoy the update!
v0.13.01p
Continuation of Wilfred Route in G12: This was supposed to be included with last month’s update but wasn’t possible due to time constraints. I also updated some lines in G12 to have better nuance and hopefully fit Wilfred’s route. Roughly 500 lines were added to G12, so it’s recommended that you play it again! Several new title screens: This update brings us not only one, but three new title screens! You may access them (4th Year, 7th Year and Andrew title screen—randomized) by starting/loading the “Common” route, or by starting/loading Lars’ route (Lars title screen.) On top of that, I’ve also adjusted the previous title screens. I want you to spot the differences, heh. General UI changes: it’s not After Class if it doesn’t suffer from an identity crisis! We have updated the VN’s UI to be more consistent—and hopefully retain the same identity while having a fresh look. It’s a major undertaking, so it took 70% of my time doing this housekeeping update. You might even feel a little out of place for a bit with how different it is. Since it’s now emphasizing bright colors, you can switch to the dark theme if you hate the default theme. Music Room: This was probably part of the general UI changes, but it took me the most time along with the save/load screen, so I’ll include it separately. The music room isn’t finished yet, and it’ll probably stay that way for a bit until I can code in the final design I made on Photoshop, but the general idea is there! On top of the UI change, I have added the missing 29 tracks in the music room, so now you can listen to them whenever you want to! There’s also a progress bar and time elapsed on each track, if you even care…… Save and Load screen: Another drastic change! Still unfinished, but at least they are functioning just fine! I have included extra information that will be shown on the save/load page. You can now rename the page name–well, you already could previously, but it was limited to only 10 characters. Now you have a 30 characters limit. The data slots also show your current name, what route you’re on and the like/love point of said character. It also shows the chapter name…but it’s also broken sometimes because I don’t update the chapter names. I plan on re-adding the ability to name your save slot, but since I forgot how to code it, that feature is disabled at the present. By the way, since I decreased the slots per page from 12 to 10, your saves will be a little misaligned, and your older saves will break the screen due to the different screenshot size (but you still can overwrite it to make it look normal). I’m sorry for that, but most saves won’t be compatible anyway, so it’s better that you start a new save. Text Log changes: Since Android and PC versions are now largely the same, and Ren’Py finally added the option to increase the distance between entries, I can finally make the text log more readable. I have also increased the memory from 75 to 250 lines; about the same lines you can rollback to. Side images: Andrew and Anders are getting their side images! These mark the final side images we’ll get from Ven, and with this, our agreement has come to an end. Upcoming side images will be made by Wolgen himself! Everyone please welcome Wolgen (again!) Oh, also, you can’t switch to legacy side images now if you have made the switch to new side images. This decision is made because we’re removing the legacy side images. Kinda obvious, huh? Character Expressions: After many months of getting Liz’s and Harvey’s character sprites, we finally included their expressions in the game, although I haven’t added it into all of the routes, so they will appear expressionless for now. Error report: I’ve fixed many bugs that were reported in the Error Report. The VN should be working better now. It’s still plagued with so many bugs, but at least I’ve eradicated the ones I could find/fix. Please keep sending the error reports when you can, it’ll help us make the VN better! Details can be checked in-game. Gil Day 11 CG: I don’t think I need to say more. Go check it out yourself! It’s a short one, but I hope Gil enjoyers and everyone else will enjoy it! Mr.Bear and I worked hard on it! Android version: Android version now is more or less a direct port of the PC version, just with some modifications to the UI so it’s more finger-friendly. Say goodbye to the old Android version font…… I haven’t fully play tested it, but from the brief moment of testing it, I can safely say it should be at least playable with minimal bugs.
v0.12.51p
Despite going into a hiatus, I’ve been releasing Patreon builds to make up for the lost time, so we have all Day 12 finished for Patreon builds. Right now, public builds have Lars, Anders, and the newly released Parker Day 12. If you’re a Patron since September, you’ve seen those, so don’t worry about revisiting those. We had to change some of the game's coding structures to make it compatible with renpy 8.4.x, so your old saves might not be usable. In case you get an error while loading an old save, please start a new game save. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. (cry) Added 5 New Music Tracks Gil Day 12 brings five new tracks! We’re adding more music and plan on removing the old tracks that’re not often used in the project and/or are very common royalty-free music. This isn't a high priority in our workflow, so you can expect them to stay for a while, but you might have noticed that I haven’t really used the old ones in a while. Best Wishes for Ven We’ve gotten our 10th side images from Ven, and we’re forever thankful for him, but as we return from our nearly year-long hiatus, we changed the way we do our work for the project. With other projects that he has taken while we were on our hiatus, Ven has been understandably swamped and busy and asked to step down from being a part of the team; he also had expressed that he lost the spark working for our project. In hopes of moving forward, we both decided that it’s better we go our separate ways due to conflicting schedules, shifting priorities, different work ethic expectations and dwindling passion most of all. I want the team to be happy working with us, so I respect his reasons for leaving. Thank you for working with us thus far, and I wish you success, Ven. Well, you might be asking: “what now? We’re stuck with no new side images?” Don’t worry, I have long anticipated this eventual separation, so we have an artist to work on the side images. Not only that, Ven has given me explicit permission to use his side images as a reference for the new artist, so he’ll also recreate the old ones from time to time. I don’t have anything to show you right now, but I feel it’ll be great! Please look forward to it! New Artworks Since the project’s 7th anniversary, we have gotten a few new artworks from our artists: Anders and Andrew’s side images being some of them. Mr Bear and Wolgen have also been working on the game’s assets, and here are some of them: Anniversary CG that will be one of the default title screens. Coach Gil’s CG in Day 11 Lars’ title screen CG New character sprite. …and more. Currently, Wolgen is working on a new character sprite for Braum! We might get it after the housekeeping update.

Developer Notes
Gil day 9 is almost finished, but as I said on Discord, I'll delay it until next month because there are a few things I need to fix and research about before releasing it. But don't worry, we'll get G9 and A9 the same month since Rex will be working on A9.
